Your understanding of the above will be assessed at various times by completion of the following

A. Answer the essential questions either orally or in written form

B. Predict how the various bones of the skeleton would adapt to a variety of permanent positional changes

C. You are a coroner with expertise in bone remodeling and trauma. You have been asked to produce a report for a group of novice medical students that shows how bones and articulations can change in relation to a variety of outside forces.
• Pick three bones, at least one from either the axial, or appendicular skeleton
• For each bone explain the effects of three different scenarios on the shape and structure of the bone.
• At least one scenario should deal with the effect of this scenario on the articulation the bone has with another bone.
• For example: Radius bone. Effects of skateboard accident, heavy manual work using a hand tool, extensive typing

Research a bone and prepare a single-sided (22x28cm) information sheet/display on this bone. Try and make it attractive and interesting to look at. Due Friday Feb 6th
Your sheet should contain, but not be limited to, the following information
• Diagram of bone, labeled, from a few angles if necessary (5 points)
• Position on skeleton (2)
• 3 Identification marks on bone (3)
• Function of bone (5)
• Site and names of 2 muscles attachment (2)
• Site and points of 2 ligament attachment (2)
• Articulations (4)
• Explanation of how the structure of the bone is designed to the function it performs (7)
• Overall effect (5)
